Turbomachinery Aerodynamics Engineers

Advanced Design Technology is a leader in the development of advanced software for the design of turbomachinery to major manufactures in aerospace, automotive, marine and power generation applications in Europe, Japan and US.  In order to continue our expansion we wish to recruit several turbomachinery Aerodynamics Engineers.

Working as part of our engineering services team you will be involved in customer support and technical consultancy. You should be able to work closely in a team environment, while at the same time independently driving consultancy projects to a successful conclusion. In addition you will be providing support to clients in the use of the company’s aerodynamics design codes.


Applicants should possess the following qualifications and skills:

1.    Education to degree level preferably post graduate level with at least 5 years’ experience of turbomachinery aerodynamic design in industrial or consultancy environment.
2.    Experience of design of one of the following components in industrial/consultancy environment: fans, pumps, axial or centrifugal compressors and axial or radial turbines, or wind turbine design.
3.    Expertise with numerical algorithms;
4.    Experience with the application of commercial CFD codes to turbomachinery design.
5.    Experience of stress/vibration analysis of rotating component will be an advantage
6.    Familiarity with automatic optimization method will be an advantage.

The opening is available to UK/EC citizens or those with work permit to work in UK. Exceptional candidates may be considered from outside EC if they satisfy all the above requirements.
